He is a Certified International Trainer, Coach, Author and Managing Director of Abhijnya Education Private Limited. Excerpts from our exclusive interview with Abhilash:
Talk us through your background and your journey, please;
I have completed my school education from K.R.E.C. ENGLISH MEDIUM HIGH SCHOOL (Now N.I.T.K.) and P U C from St. Aloysius College, Mangaluru. Further pursued Engineering from the prestigious M S Ramaiah Institute of Technology in Bangalore and pursued Master of Technology from prestigious Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal.
I was a passionate individual from the beginning and always aspired to be one of the youngest achievers by delivering high performance in all walks of life.
I worked as an Assistant Professor in NMAMIT Engineering College, Nitte and Sahyadri College of Engineering and Management. Also, I had been the Academic Head of Trisha Classes, Mangalore.
From the past eleven years of fruitful experience of training more than ten thousand students in the field of engineering, aptitude for competitive exams and placement preparation along with soft skills and personality development, I am happy with what I have done so far and would like to continue the same.
What made you passionate about ‘Coaching’?
I always had a dream of starting my own business. Once I got to know that I am good enough to train students of various streams, the confidence in me made me take up many assignments from various organizations through which I could give my best.
How do you manage to keep going despite the challenges? What drives you?
Challenges are part of life. Challenges will make us grow better individuals than before. If we have a positive mindset towards whatever we approach, then I believe we can manage any challenge.
My passion drives me every second in life.
Who do you believe has been the biggest source of motivation in your daily life?
Frankly speaking, I have been a self-motivated person till now. Am happy to tell you that my parents and brother have been very supportive to allow me to make my own decisions in life.
Whenever I get demotivated, I cheer myself up by thinking about the hard work I have put in till now and also thinking about the good things that have happened so far.
Since we know that you have been as Guest and Judge for various events. What do u say about it?
By the grace of God and Blessings from my parents, Yes I have been invited as a Guest and Judge for various events from the past ten years. We all know that every teacher was once a student. So I learn a lot from all these opportunities since we come across a lot of smart talented people all over. In fact, I’ll never call myself as an achiever instead I would like to say am just a learner and a person who would love to learn more to give my best in the best truthful sincere way.
What are some of the strategies that you believe have helped you grow as a person?
There are a few:
1) SMART WORK
2) BELIEVE IN MYSELF
3) CONFIDENCE AND ATTITUDE
4) PASSION
What advice would you give students and young professionals who want to have a successful career?
‘PATIENCE IN LIFE IS VERY IMPORTANT‘. Also, I believe planning, dedication and focus will drive us towards what we need to achieve.
I believe we need to have Plan B also in life.
