Meet Anish Deshmukh, who is following his passion. He is one of the famous food bloggers and also social media influencers from Mumbai.
He has partnered with many renowned food chains and restaurants.
Lets have a look at some of the excerpts from our Interview with him.
Why did you choose blogging/entrepreneurship over a job?
I am in the hotel industry from almost more than 15 years now so I felt I understand the industry is really a better way. It’s interesting to know what are the new trends in the industry. I feel I can give better and proper feedback.
What gets you out of bed in the morning i.e. what’s your source of motivation?
I am a strong believer that goal or dream is not a destination but it’s a journey. Each day you can write a new lesson in your life so I make sure that it’s rocking. The fresh day is a natural energy which we get from the god to prove us.
Why should people choose your services and how can you help them?
I can say since I am in this industry from ages so know how it works in and out. I have worked in various cities, countries in hotels so minute detailing I can notice. I feel the passion and knowledge about that subject are two different things, many of them are passionate but they don’t know about it so I can help them to know their passion more.
What challenges/obstacles did you face in your journey so far?
East step has its own issues/obstacles. Initially, this was really new to the world so many people took it wrong. Today nothing comes free in this world people who got skill sets are always under recognised I feel.
Tell our audience more about your failures? How should one bounce back?
Failures are part of success, that’s what I feel. Each day you can’t win, but when you don’t win you don’t lose– you learn. Whatever happens around our life, teaches us some lessons.so we should accept those challenges and work towards glory.
What comes first for you – money or emotions?
I am an emotional person; I like doing what I feel interesting. I have a tendency of keeping a track of passion, liking which will make me happier than what money will give me. Our mind and heart is always satisfied with happiness but never satisfied with money so always try to keep your mind/heart happy so that you will earn the happiness more and more.
How do you handle the pressure and manage stress?
Handling pressure is natural in Indians I feel. I have experienced it in many places out of India where we handle the pressure in a far better way than someone else. If we are good enough for a particular work then there will be competition or issues and then the pressure comes. Two of the most important things which I keep in mind is that 1) keeping faith in myself and 2) you do this because you are passionate about it.
These two sentences help me out under pressure and bring the best out of me. Stress is very natural but the glory after that stress is even more cherishable.
What advice would you give to someone starting out?
Believe in your passion, make sure you work out something really commendable. Appreciation comes with the time, initially its always silent but then once you improve with time it starts making the notice which really would help you. Never think of the result or conclusion initially, always try to give the best what you can do and the results will be certainly positive. Trust your work but never be overconfident of it, keep trying to do it better.
