At BrilliantRead Media, our aim is to bring to our community some of the unique and compelling stories from the start-up ecosystem. As part of this endeavour, we invited a passionate and purpose-driven young entrepreneur – Anshul Goyal, for an interview with us this week. He is the Founder & CEO at AiBorne. His startup develops comprehensive personal & industrial products for his clients by leveraging his skills in AI.
Let’s learn how he left his high paying corporate job to set sail towards something that he is very passionate about, his inspirational journey so far, and his advice for our community!
Excerpts from our exclusive interview with him:
Tell us a little bit about background, your journey and what motivated you to become an entrepreneur?
I have always been an enthusiast for science and tech development, hence the cliche of an IIT graduate. Have been developing software and technology for pleasure and business, besides motivating people through my speaking and writing engagements. I’m currently the Founder of a tech startup, AiBorne. I definitely see myself as a Technocrat Motivational Speaker in the near future owing to love and passion associated with it.
Leaving a handsomely paying job is never the difficult part when you choose to forge your own path, it is the challenge of leaving your very delusional comfort zone.
I believe that the worst thing you can do to yourself if you age between anything to anything is NOT taking risks to pursue what could be your passion. I am on the same journey.
There are challenges and failures every day when you decide to travel the unconventional path, but that amount to a negligible sum when juxtaposed against the grand vision that motivates you to do greater in life.
Sometimes it just takes a snap moment to change your life leading you to eventually gain the realisation of your true potential. Failures are deceiving that way, they come in hard shells only difficult to penetrate from the surface. The persistent make it through only to find a beautiful core in the middle brimming with the most valuable learnings. Mine particularly was a 6-month long arm fracture, which consisted of its own downs and ups, highlight being the availability of ample time for the first time in my life to introspect on my vision, priority, goals and aspirations in life. All thanks to my physical constraints for the time: completely steering me away from the glamorous parties of the corporate world and the illusions of success.
Truly, what success now means to me is the ability to motivate and inspire people to achieve their grander goals in life through my own personal journey, by personally manifesting my vision into reality through sheer Hardwork and Passion. Talent doesn’t exist. For when the dust settles, it is only your GODLY Self-Belief that triumphs.
What gets you out of bed in the morning i.e. what’s your source of motivation?
It is the ‘Vision’. You will only achieve as much as your vision. It should have the strongest pull which drives you every moment towards your goals. Motivation will eternally exist in your life as a result.
Sleeping at night with a sense of accomplishment however small, and waking up in the morning with an exciting challenge however difficult are the highest forms of short-term motivation when you have an immense self-confidence and self-belief.
What challenges/obstacles did you face in your journey so far?
Here is a VERY technical product business. Augmented Reality with Artificial Intelligence is the name of the game. Software Development has a lot of challenges in achieving optimum efficiencies and beautiful workflows. General awareness to the futuristic tech is another challenge besides efficient marketing, sales and development of robust business models.
But, all of it is worth it.
Remember that the rewards are always directly proportional to the value of the challenges you solve. So embrace every failure and difficulty you come across, it is just a proof of the great value you are generating through your challenging process.
What comes first for you – money or emotions?
The person who says money can’t give you happiness doesn’t know where to invest. Your emotional bank account can be replenished by the financial bank account if you know how to barter the currencies. To earn a million dollars and save the Amazon forests, donate to that NGO, build schools and infrastructure for the community. Conclusively, money and emotions are very inter-related. Conversely, a positive state of mind always influences your decision making-abilities in the business world and is necessary for your long-term success.
How do you handle the pressure and manage stress?
1) I run for positivity.
2) I meditate for empowering and strengthening my future vision.
3) I surround myself with positive people and energy.
4) I follow Conor McGregor/GaryVayner/Dan Pena.
5) I remind myself every day that you only win or you learn, you never fail.
What is one strategy that you believe has helped you grow as a person?
Announcing out loud to the world your vision. Reaffirming to yourself and to the world your own vision through speaking, writing, doing and thinking is a very strong technique I have employed my whole life knowingly or unknowingly. Never has been there a sliver of a doubt in my abilities to do what I set my mind to. You shouldn’t too.
In your opinion what are the keys to success?
HARD WORK. The only thing I know. The only thing that matters.
What advice would you give to someone starting out as an aspiring entrepreneur?
Never doubt yourself. Visualise yourself on the podium every day. The platform you will stand on when you achieve the grand goals you set for yourself. Keep Working and know that you have the ability to shape your own future. Irrespective of any kind of situation you are in right now. Be Brave. Do what you love. Create Value. Work Hard.
