We are aware of your contribution to the ecosystem, talk us through your journey and what attracted you to entrepreneurship?
Thank you for having me. My journey into entrepreneurship was fueled by a desire to bring about positive change.
After experiencing the limitations of the corporate world, I yearned for something more meaningful.
It was during this time that I realized the untapped potential of herbal and cannabis extracts in India and their ability to improve people’s lives.”
This revelation ignited my entrepreneurial spirit, and I knew I had found my calling.
Entrepreneurship certainly comes with its fair share of challenges. Could you share some of the obstacles you faced and how you overcame them?
Absolutely. Every step of my entrepreneurial journey has been met with unique challenges. From navigating complex business environments to addressing mental health issues, I’ve learned to face these obstacles head-on.
It hasn’t always been easy, but my unwavering determination and belief in natural solutions have helped me overcome these hurdles.”
I’ve embraced resilience and adapted my strategies along the way, constantly learning and growing to overcome the challenges that come my way.
Devanshi, it’s fascinating to hear about your entrepreneurial journey. Before we dive deeper into your ventures, let’s talk a bit about your background. Could you share with us your educational and professional experiences that have shaped your unique perspective?
My educational journey has been quite diverse. I pursued a Triple Majors degree from Christ University in Bangalore, focusing on Media Psychology and Literature. This multidisciplinary background has provided me with a well-rounded perspective, blending the understanding of human behaviour and storytelling, which I find invaluable in my entrepreneurial endeavours.
Professionally, I’ve had the opportunity to work in various sectors, including education, research, and marketing. Through these experiences, I’ve honed my skills in understanding customer relations and expanding businesses, particularly in the organic products industry.”
Travelling extensively around the world has further enriched my understanding of the international market and the complexities of navigating diverse business environments. It’s these combined experiences that have shaped my unique approach to entrepreneurship.
Trugreen Agribiotech India Pvt Ltd, seems to have a wide range of offerings. Could you give us a brief introduction to Trugreen and its focus on manufacturing herbal and cannabis extracts based products?
Trugreen Agribiotech India Pvt Ltd, established in 2018 in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, specialises in cannabis and various herbal extracts, formulating and packaging ayurvedic and nutritional products. We manufacture essential oils and are focused on a farm-to-product range of dry-cut herbs.
We have a full stack team for R&D, operations, and regulatory services; wherein we are committed to providing the best solutions to clients, easing their “concept to market” journey. Our superior manufacturing technology and deep knowledge of cannabis and other nutritional products help create a class-apart range to pick from or customise as per the needs of the client.
That sounds fascinating. Now, let’s shift our focus to Medicann. Can you provide us with a brief introduction to Medicann and its mission in the cannabis-based medication space?
Medicann, by Trugreen Agribiotech is to further our mission to provide safe, effective, and trusted cannabis-based medication at affordable prices.
We strive to promote natural alternatives to harmful pharmaceuticals, leveraging the remarkable medicinal benefits of cannabis extract-based medicines.
At Medicann, we genuinely care about improving the quality of life for individuals facing various challenges, offering consultation and doctor-guided solutions for health and well-being.
Your venture, Trugreen and Medicann, has gained recognition for its focus on cannabis extracts based medicines. Can you tell us more about cannabis and its potential uses, as well as the role Medicann plays?
Certainly. Cannabis is a remarkable plant that has long been recognized for its therapeutic properties since thousands of years.
Today, under Ayurveda, it is classified as Schedule E-1 Drug. It has the potential to alleviate conditions such as anxiety, depression, chronic pain, neurological disorders and helps in palliative care and sleep issues.
Through Trugreen and Medicann, we not only manufacture herbal and cannabis extracts but also provide medical consultation to ensure responsible usage and accessibility of this miraculous plant for patients in need.”
Our goal is to make a positive impact and change the way India manages pain and other health conditions through the power of cannabis.
Your passion and dedication are truly inspiring. What motivates you, and what strategies have contributed to your success thus far?
My passion stems from a deep desire to guide people towards natural alternatives that can relieve pain, stress, anxiety, and sleep issues.
Our modern lifestyle often takes a toll on our health, and I firmly believe that nature has the power to support our well-being.
I am driven to help individuals manage both daily and chronic pain, recognizing that chemical-based medicines may not always provide the best solutions. Healing is my ultimate motivation.”
To achieve success, I have stayed true to my beliefs, propagating the use of natural ingredients and traditional herbs in a modern way to fit in the lives of people. That’s truly remarkable. Along your journey, who has been your inspiration and support?
My father, Sudhanshu Deva, is my inspiration and my biggest supporter. It is because of his parenting and faith in me that I could learn to face the world, make mistakes, and learn from them. He taught me how to flap my wings and fly. His unwavering belief in my abilities and his guidance have been invaluable to my journey.
I’m grateful for his constant support, as it has fueled my entrepreneurial drive and encouraged me to reach for new heights.
