Let’s learn more about his background, his inspiring journey so far and his advice for our growing community!
Excerpts from our exclusive interview with Dhruv:
Could you please talk us through your background and your journey?
Our journey of the dynamic duo has been nothing short of exciting ups and thrilling lows, we started this back in 2023 9 th April when the idea came to us.
On 31st January 2024, we officially launched Rize in the market during these timelines we had learnt a lot of business and how to raise funding along which we also got featured on Shark Tank season 3 and got pre-revenue funding from celebrities like Sunny Leone and Daniel Weber.
We were never from business backgrounds, neither our families so as a young first-generation business owner would do we took the leap of faith and were hungry to learn.
We were always open to gaining as much knowledge and experience as we could in order to be quick decision makers as we realized in business one thing that really stands out and will help you is being fast and efficient.
‘Rize Bar’ is such a unique name; talk us through more about it, please. Our audience would also love to know what kind of problem you are solving?
Rize the name has a very interesting thought process and story behind it, we wanted it to be an empowering name which connotes to “ Rize to be better” and once someone chooses Rize it shows their dedication to make a change in their healthy lifestyle.
Despite the challenges, what keeps you going when things get tough?
Throughout our journey, there were a lot of hurdles but one thing that always shined out was our ability to adapt and implement strategies to counter various problems.
One key factor that kept us going was our crystal clear goals and planning that kept us on our feet to always seek every opportunity that came our way.
What are the three most important lessons you have learned in your life?
The three most important lessons learned in our life were:
1) Do not spend the money you don’t have (what this means is if the money hasn’t touched your bank never name any commitments to anyone)
2) Don’t make big decisions on the same day
3) Networks are your net worth and focus on building relationships that contribute to business and personal growth.
In your opinion what are the keys to success?
The key pillars to success are:
a) Discipline with your life and money
b) Have an unwavering focus on getting things done
c) Vision on horizons where others don’t even dare
d) Have blind confidence on your decisions
3) Listen and assess every situation from perspective and not perception
What advice would you give students and young professionals who want to have a successful career?
One piece of advice we personally give out to the youth is don’t be afraid of failure, its actually a good thing even if you happen to fail at a young age because then later on in life you don’t end up repeating the same mistakes therefore as youth one should utilize their time in learning and growing rather than worrying about what the end goal looks like.
To simply put it in words “ Today’s failures are tomorrow’s wisdom”
Last but not least, what about your journey makes it satisfying/exciting?
Our journey has been nothing less than exciting with a roller coaster of hurdles that every time we accomplished, reinforced a sense of belonging and belief into what we were building.
Being a founder means you should be prepared to take on various sets of skills that not only help you in business but also your personal life.
The key take aways in our journey is the freedom that comes along with starting something of your own, one is not bound by others time and is responsible on their own.
The final and the most exciting part in our journey was that we can inspire and guide the younger generation to be better themselves and aim for heights way above what normal society seems to accept therefore we as founders will keep pushing ourselves to be better and grow Rize to be a household brand not only in India but globally.
