Dinesh is the Managing Director at Xceed Xcellence. Let’s learn more about his exciting journey, his background and his advice for our growing community.
Excerpts from our exclusive interview with Dinesh:
Talk us through your background and your journey so far, please
I’m Dinesh Pitchuka. A full-time trader, coach & speaker. I’ve coached more than 6000+ participants to help them become independent traders. I was born in a middle-class family.
Right from a very young age, I was able to understand the importance of money as I saw my parents face huge financial challenges. Since then, I’ve always wanted to be wealthy & financially free.”
As a kid, I was an introvert with low confidence levels & scared about taking on any opportunity that came my way. I never took steps to move forward. Things started to change during my college days. I was able to understand that I was avoiding taking steps to move forward by giving myself excuses like ‘I am not good enough’, ‘I do not have the required skill set’, ‘I do not have enough money’ etc. Once I understood what was holding me back, I started taking actions to achieve my goals.
I saw an abundance of opportunities in the stock market. My first 2 years of the trading journey was very challenging. I havefaced many failures despite my best efforts. But I never gave up. I made consistent efforts & kept correcting my mistakes which led to consistent progress. Soon, I was able to become an independent trader. In order to improve my knowledge in finance, I did my MBA & worked as an Analyst in Bank of New york Mellon.
I quit my job to become a full-time trader. I observed a lot of working professionals wanting to get into the stock market but were unable to do so due to lack of time or skill set or knowledge.
That’s when I decided to get into coaching. Being the introvert that I am, I initially started my coaching with 4 – 5 people from my close circle. Today, as we speak, I have coached 6000+ participants to help them become independent traders.”
What made you passionate about ‘Coaching’?
Though I was working in a Top MNC & had an excellent experience, my dream of becoming an entrepreneur was always on the back of my mind. While I was exploring various fields, I understood that sharing my knowledge with people and seeing how it helped them progress and transform their lives gave me immense satisfaction & fulfillment. That’s how I started my coaching journey.
How do you manage to keep going despite the challenges? What drives you?
I faced a lot of challenges at every step of the journey. Though I wanted to share my knowledge with as many people as possible, being an introvert, fear & lack of experience in public speaking proved to be a huge deterrent. With the help of my mentor ‘Arfeen Khan’ ( Transformation Expert ), I was able to understand that the major problem was my mindset.
He helped me overcome my fear of moving ahead. I have consistently grown from doing monthly sessions to doing 3 to 4 sessions a week addressing 250 people in each of those sessions. I developed my mindset to move ahead despite challenges.
My driving force is the outcome which is the positive change & the transformation it brought to people’s lives. E.g. A homemaker becoming a full-time trader, a 57-year-old woman becoming a full-time trader, professionals becoming more financially stable & having a secondary source of income & so on.
Who do you believe has been the biggest source of motivation in your daily life?
‘Arfeen Khan’ – I never believed that I would be able to do a session with hundreds of people or share my knowledge to 6000 plus people.
He believed in me from day one. He mentored me through every step of the way & helped me by showing me the path to move ahead in life.
What are the business mantras you have embraced as you sought to establish your success story?
‘Keep giving all the knowledge possible and don’t stop. Do not worry about what you get back.
What you keep giving to everyone will eventually lead you to your growth’. A great learning from my other mentor David, Australia.”

What are some of the strategies that you believe has helped you grow as a person?
Clear & Quick decision making and actions are my 2 mantras.
Here is a favourite quote on decision making by my mentor –‘Whatever life that we are living today is based on the decisions we have taken in the past & whatever life we are going to live tomorrow is based on the decisions we take today’. Decisions help us move forward in life. I had a lot of ideas, but I was like a cat on the wall, wasting time by being indecisive. Clear & quick decision making is crucial.
When it comes to ‘Actions’ people generally have the habit of procrastinating. I have done that too. I have understood that whatever you are planning, you must start doing it within the next 24 hours. If not, it will become very difficult for the person to do it. Whenever I plan something, I ensure to start doing it within the next 24 hours which keeps me progressing towards my goals.
We all focus on results. Yes, it’s important. But we will be able to achieve the desired results only when we progress every single day.
You are always positive & motivated, what keeps you going?
It’s the mastermind group/community. I strongly believe that the people you surround yourself with have a huge impact on your mindset.
If we are amongst the pessimistic group, the influence on our mindset would also be negative. If we are part of an optimistic group of people who are focused on growth, progress & striving for success, we will have a positive influence. My mastermind community keeps me motivated and I am fortunate to be amongst them.
Please share with us, how do you motivate your clients?
As mentioned earlier, my biggest motivating factor is the mastermind group. I have a created a mastermind group for my participants. I conduct a 3-hour session every week wherein I answer queries, discuss the challenges, help them with solutions to move ahead in their trading journey.
The mastermind group fosters a positive environment where people learn from each other’s experiences & also motivate each other in their trading journey.
In your opinion, what are the keys to success?
In any field that you take, consistent efforts every single day with lots of discipline & patience will lead to success. For example, in order to be a successful trader, you need to spend at least 1 – 1.5 hours every day doing stock analysis & improving your knowledge.
What advice would you give students & young professionals who want to have a successful career?
People are always focused on results & most people feel their happiness depends only on the results. They forget to enjoy the journey. Results may take time.We need to learn to enjoy the journey. Think of us when we are playing a game, we are so interested in it that we do not realize how fast time goes by.
We love playing games, so we keep doing it. Similarly, it’s important to love & enjoy our work as well. We need to have enough patience to get results. We cannot start our journey today & expect immediate results. Have the patience to stick to your goals & give your 100% effort towards it.
Eg. Let’s assume a person who is completely new to trading. That person needs to understand trading strategy & psychological aspects. It will take a couple of months to build confidence & the required skill set. People should start with a small capital & eventually increase as their confidence level increases by learning the required skills & a lot of practice.
Let’s consider another example. In the case of a YouTuber, you can’t start a channel today & expect to start earning from the channel tomorrow. It takes time, consistent efforts & high-quality videos. The journey differs from person to person.
For some, it may take around 6 months and for some, it could take even 2 years to start earning from their channel. Consistency is extremely important.
My key to success is “If you want to achieve your goals fast, focus on making consistent efforts everyday by investing at least one hour every single day.”
