This week we invited yet another passionate women entrepreneur Dr. Frances Ann Bailey for an exclusive interview with us. Dr. Frances is a Leader, Seasoned Entrepreneur, Speaker, Author, Certified Life Coach and Change Enabler. She is the Founder and CEO of Frances Bailey Enterprises, LLC. Let’s read more about her incredible journey so far and her advice for our growing community!
Excerpts from our exclusive interview with Dr Frances:
We are aware of your contribution to the ecosystem, talk us through your background and your journey, please.
I saw a need and wanted to be able to be an answer.
I wanted to gain the knowledge and skills to run my businesses, so I went to earn my certifications in advanced and executive leadership from the National Society of Leadership and Success. I also earned my certification in life coaching, empowerment coaching, and as a Christian Counselor.
I did some more schooling at Walden University to obtain my Master’s in public policy and Administration.
I earned my doctorate in Leadership from the Miz Ceo Society of Coaches and a PhD in Entrepreneurship & Business Administration from Trinity International University School of Business.
Having gained these certifications during my journey helped me tremendously while being an entrepreneur.
What made you passionate about ‘Coaching’?
I wanted to be able to partner with my clients to reach their goals and build self-awareness. I remember when I had a vision for things, I felt alone and lost on which way to go.
Now I can help another to manoeuvre without that difficulty that I had.
I love watching others grow and break glass ceilings. I love seeing others be all they are called to be and being able to assist them means a lot to me.”
‘Frances Bailey Enterprises, LLC’ is such a unique name; talk us through more about it, please. Our audience would also love to know what kind of problem you are solving?
I went through so many things that have led up to the formation of my business that everything I have to give is so big it has to be an enterprise.
I am my brand. I am the answer, so I name the business after myself. I am solving the problem of others losing their zeal for their purpose when faced with obstacles.
I am the coach that teaches strategies for overcoming issues and pushing. I offer through my podcast, books, speaking and coaching sessions and coaching certifications.”
How do you manage to keep going despite the challenges? What drives you?
Having a clear identity in Christ and also knowing what I carry is what helps me to keep going despite the challenges. I know that I will always come out victorious even if I make mistakes.
I learn from failures so therefore I always win.
Knowing my ‘why’ also helps to stay faithful to my purpose in life. Others are relying on me. The real purpose isn’t just about you, it is about others as well.”
Who do you believe has been the biggest source of motivation in your daily life?
My biggest motivation is watching my children. They see all I do and ask me about it. They are interested and so ready to be game changers when they grow up and that motivates me to continue to be a light to them.
Also, when I see others impacted from the things I do, it warms my heart. This is what it is about. It is about being effective and helping to transform the life of another.
You are always positive and motivated, what keeps you going?
My relationship with Jesus Christ first is the plug of my source. Nothing else can’t or has not been able to fill any voids.
Secondly, I watch what I feed myself not just naturally but spiritually. I try to engage in positive things and things that will sow positive seeds into me.”
I guard my gateways to ineffective things. This has seemed to be able to keep me going. What we feed our minds and hearts will eventually come to the surface when faced with opposition.
In your opinion what are the keys to success?
I will say it straight that there are many factors but if you really have to have the key elements then to me these are the ones:
> Knowing who you are and what you carry (Clear Identity)
> Clear and pure why
> Networking
> Dodging Distractions
> Faithfulness
> Stability
> Have a coach or mentor
What advice would you give students and young professionals who want to have a successful career?
If you want to have a successful career be open to networking and constantly being a student in your career.
I always say one way to success is collaboration over completion. You can do so much more together than alone.
Furthermore, always being open to learning different things. You will never know it all. Never box your mind in by limiting what you choose to learn.
