Dr Rajalakshmi Nott

At BrilliantRead Media, we always strive to bring to our community some of the finest stories from the entrepreneurship world. As part of this endeavour, we invited yet another passionate entrepreneur – Dr Rajalakshmi Nott for an exclusive interview with us. Dr Rajalakshmi is a Purpose Coach, Paediatrician, NLP Practitioner, Consultant, and Mentor. She is the Founder of Arielle Family Clinic. Let’s learn more about her inspiring journey, her background and her advice for our growing community!

Excerpts from our exclusive interview with Dr Rajalakshmi:

Talk us through your background and your journey, please;

My journey has been unique with varied interests, an MBBS from Kilpauk Medical College in the then Madras university qualification of MD Pediatrics, a near 8 and half years as a Naval Officer as a GDMO with the Indian Navy, being a state champion in shuttle badminton in Andhrapradesh state in early 80’s and being in the state teams of both Andhrapradesh and Tamil Nadu in the 80’s.

Self Development has been a great passion area for as does anything to do with the mind.

Surprisingly my self-development journey was initiated by my younger brother who taught me something very simple yet very profound about accepting people as they are. I owe my marital bliss to this single learning.”

After the sudden demise of my husband Late CDR K Arun Kumar in 2006 when he was barely 41 years, I have powerfully rebuilt my life both personal and professional and established a successful practice in Kharghar. In the year 2015, I remarried again.

My own journey and my passion for self-development went hand in hand and the deeper I went I understood what gives the vibrant energy to lead a very fulfilled life despite any challenges.

Curing illnesses in the clinic has started a burning desire to do my bit for creating wellness in the world.”

My wellness sessions acting through the subconscious mind started in Sep 2021 with some 60 to 70 life-transforming results.

How did you discover your passion in ‘Coaching’?

In my private practice, the highlight was communication and I realized this was something which patients benefited from and which I enjoyed the most.

Being an NLP Practitioner I could easily combine coaching with NLP for patients needing such assistance.

I could do this on a very limited scale over the years, however in the pandemic seeing so much stress and unhappiness around, this took on a different dimension.”

And I actively started mentoring on Wellness and Vibrant Energy Management.

How do you manage to keep going despite the challenges? What drives you?

In the first self-development journey I attended, I took on the possibility of being a source of inspiration and strength to whosoever is in my life and I consciously keep creating myself and powerfully reframing life situations in an empowering manner.

So I rarely feel overwhelmed or bogged down with any life situation for long. The loss of my companion in 2006 and my own fathers teaching’s on to enjoy the life journey as being short and sweet keeps me going in full power and choose my life with an empowering context all the time.

Dr Rajalakshmi Nott

Who do you believe has been the biggest source of motivation in your daily life?

My children and the children in my clinic are the biggest source of motivation apart from my own internal motivation and childlike zest for life.

What are some of the strategies that you believe have helped you grow as a person?

There are a few:

(1) Being Empathic and Compassionate

(2) Looking for out of box actions.

(3) Practicing mindfulness and my energy management.

(4) Open minded to learn from anyone and everyone.

You are always positive and motivated, what keeps you going?

My motivation comes from self-development and constant learning because I enjoy it.

The wellness sessions have disciplined me also to practice gratitude, affirmations, visualization, practising oneness meditation, ho’oponopono. I’m following twin heart meditation concepts of pranic healing apart from progressive relaxation and autosuggestions. So does working on my goals and constantly working on my energy levels.

I do Shambhavi kriya of ISHA foundation, exercise at least 5 times a week and meditate for one hour twenty minutes every day. I read inspirational books and follow inspirational videos on YouTube apart from my routine. I practice consciously being aware of my thoughts with a rippling effect.

The life-transforming experiences of my participants and seeing them empowered and happy is the biggest joy and positivity for me which I keep unloading into my family.”

In your opinion, what are the keys to success?

> The master key is in gratitude and looking for the positive in every situation of life.

> Be in contribution and empower others.

> Love yourself and acknowledge yourself to love and acknowledge others.

> Always be open-minded and willing to learn from others.

What advice would you give students and young professionals who want to have a successful career?

– Be focused and prioritize your time.

– Exercise daily.

– Practice Mindfulness.

– Have Vibrant Energy.

– Learn and upskill yourself constantly.

– Find your areas of interest.

– When passion is there, energy and commitment will follow.

– Always love and acknowledge yourself and be open-minded to learn from everyone.
