Excerpts from our exclusive interview with Dt. Manisha:

Could you please talk us through your background and your journey?

My professional journey in the field of diet and nutrition spans over 11 years, during which I’ve continuously upgraded and refined my skills to better serve those seeking a healthier life.

After completing my Master’s in Nutrition, I began my career with Max Hospitals and went on to work with renowned healthcare brands such as Apollo, Fortis, and MediBuddy. Along the way, I pursued specialised training in key areas like diabetes management, the FODMAP diet, sports nutrition, and the nutritional needs of critically ill patients.

Today, I lead HEAL4LIFE—my own diet consultation platform—where we are committed to transforming lives by helping individuals achieve their health goals through personalised, sustainable nutrition strategies.

How did you discover your passion?

Through my extensive experience working with leading brands, I’ve come to deeply understand the importance of a healthy lifestyle—and how our daily choices, from diet to routine, significantly shape our well-being.

This journey also made me realise the crucial role health coaches and dietitians play in empowering communities to live healthier, more fulfilling lives.

Despite the challenges, what keeps you going when things get tough?

My drive to work in this field comes from a deep commitment to empower individuals and challenge the myths and stereotypes surrounding the wellness journey.

I believe in fostering self-awareness and the courage to engage in one’s own healing, because only then can we truly live with respect and dignity, and extend the same ethical principles to those around us.

What are the three most important lessons you have learned in your life?

Life gives us lessons at every turn. One of the greatest lessons life has taught me is to be patient with the outcomes. Things unfold in their own time.

Be kind to the people around you—compassion goes a long way. And remember, spreading love costs nothing, but means everything.

In your opinion, what are the keys to success?

According to me, the keys to success are:

1) Discipline – Stay committed to your goals, even when motivation fades.

2) Consistency – Show up every day. Small efforts compounded over time create big results.

3) Broadening your perspective with a mature mindset – Be open to learning, unlearning, and understanding different viewpoints. Growth begins when ego takes a backseat.

What advice would you give students and young professionals who want to have a successful career?

My advice to young professionals:

Respect your time and your profession. Success doesn’t come overnight—take small, consistent steps to climb the ladder. Avoid shortcuts; they may save time in the moment, but they rarely lead to lasting success.
