Interview with Himanshu Chaturvedi | Founder and Director at MotionGility

In our relentless pursuit to identify and share with our community some of the unique and compelling startup stories from the ecosystem, this week we invited yet another passionate entrepreneur Himanshu Chaturvedi to understand more about his entrepreneurial journey, his vision and the way forward. Himanshu combined his love for animation and his passion to start his own venture. He is the Founder and Director of MotionGility. Let’s learn more about his inspiring journey!

Excerpts from our exclusive interview with Himanshu:

We are aware of your contribution to the ecosystem, talk us through your background and your journey as an entrepreneur, please;

During my childhood, when the first time I saw about the animation I developed a keen interest in the same. From 6th standard itself, I became very passionate about the animation industry. I was very intrigued by it and wanted to learn as much as I can.

After 10th standard, I pursued my study in Animation along with a diploma from  Cambridge University. I have also done the certification from Reliance Big Aims.

I started my entrepreneurship journey with a single laptop with my friend Komal Kokate, and we started researching and networking with people. Our primary focus was to deliver the best and quality output to our clients.”

And I keep on hearing that we have the problem of unemployment and when I thought of pursuing it as a career option I was also a bit worried if this really has the scope? Then I decided to start my entrepreneurship journey as I wanted to solve these problems and questions which arose during my career and I wanted to create the scope for the young talents of tier 2 city Indore.

I started working in a shared space at an institute where I worked on barter ship for teaching the students about animation in return of the space and managed to work our company profile and portfolio.

And from there we managed to grow our Company MotionGility significantly and we have successfully achieved the place in Top Explainer Video Company by the clutch.”

What attracts you towards entrepreneurship instead of a corporate career?

In Corporate career, It will be only about my career but I wanted to do something for the Animation Industry so that people can have a more bright career in this tier-2 city.

I saw that people are keener towards joining Engineering colleges but hardly some people think of making a career in the animation industry.”

Hence I wanted to create that ecosystem where people can become more aware of this industry and the opportunities they can have in Indore rather than moving in some Metro cities.

‘MotionGility’ is such a unique name; talk us through more about it, please. Our audience would also love to know what kind of problem you are solving with the help of your startup?

MotionGility provides its clients with the best-animated explainer videos to promote business stories. Animated videos are much more effective when it comes to communicating ideas and emotions as compared to PPTs. In today’s busy life, people are more interested to watch a short and sweet video rather than reading about a product. Besides, From being distributed on WhatsApp, to being uploaded on various platforms, videos can slip in anywhere, helping massively in sales and pitching.

Majorly, MotionGilitys’ product solves the budget problem that occurs while marketing a business or product. They provide cost-effective yet influential and convincing services.

MotionGility USP is that we craft customized videos that help a business in marketing and generating leads. They provide first-of-a-kind custom-made graphics in the video, which is created by them and not downloaded from anywhere.”

During this COVID-19 crisis, what are the measures you have undertaken to continue your business without disruption?

During the lockdown in COVID, we managed to serve our clients having a work from home facilities.

We managed to keep working on creative inputs utilizing all the technical tools to manage the delivery to our clients.

How do you manage yourself and keep on going despite the challenges? What drives you?

I always try to make sure that I empower the right people for the right work. This way I do not feel overburdened with work that leads to stress.

In my free time, I keep on exploring new about the industries and our field to keep on Improving and Implementing the same.

In your opinion – what is more necessary: Idea or a good team for a successful startup?

In my opinion, starting a startup you should already have a valid idea which the initial research is done and once you have that having the right team to bring that idea into execution becomes more important.

You are always positive and motivated, what keeps you going?

I love my work. Anything you do in life you have to have a passion for and should not feel like work. With the aim that I have to bring something good for the society something which keeps me positive and motivated.

We would love to know your advice for all those starting out as an aspiring entrepreneur?

Make sure to not being influenced by the stories of entrepreneurs revolving around you.

Each person starting his entrepreneurial journey has its own struggles hence it is very important to know your inner strength and instincts and keep on improving day by day.
