Excerpts from our exclusive interview with Jigyasa:
Talk us through your background and your journey, please;
Starting from my schooling in St. Mary’s Convent Senior Secondary School in Kasauli (Himachal Pradesh) to my Department of Stem Cell tissue engineering and Biomedical Excellence-Panjab University, Chandigarh and then my upskilling courses and accreditations in Modern Clinical Dietetics Standards from Israel and Mumbai respectively has taught me lateral thinking and has prepared me for challenging assignments.
Thanks to my experiences, I have a broader perspective of life and profound respect for hard work. In January 2021 I started randomly by experimenting with hormonal diets on me, then my family members and it took me to a whole new level of excitement.”
I belong to the field of Stem Cells and Research and with my knowledge of Stem cells, metabolomics, proteomics, genomics, endocrinology, cell signalling and drug designing I experimented on various diseases (Diabetes mellitus type II, Hypothyroid, PCOD) and trust me for this I used our normal kitchen ingredients containing various nutrition values.
After all, everything is chemical once it’s inside us! And ta-da! I figured out that this is something the world needs – NO CALORIE DEFICIT, NO KETO, NO INTERMITTENT, NOTHING FAD AT ALL BUT JUST HORMONAL MANIPULATION WITH SOME INGREDIENTS AND YOU ARE GOOD TO GO.
Though I needed some polishing on the subject back then so I joined some upskilling courses and cleared my concepts. Even today I keep on doing upskillments in various areas of my field just to learn more. Science is never-ending and I am a big nerd!
Today, I can manipulate 60+ hormones in a subject (human) to reverse their lifestyle diseases without medication or any FAD diets. Currently, I work to regulate and balance the chemical messengers as when your hormones are balanced and working in sync (you won’t notice them, of course) that’s a good thing.”
It’s when they’re imbalanced that you could start seeing cascading health issues take over. I do not encourage any calorie deficit or low carb diets as these can make you nutrient deficient.
Here at your_next_diet_by_J, Medical knowledge is an important tool that should be available to all my patients. Reliable, evidence-based information can have an impact on the decisions that patients make and empower them to take control of their health.
Having a medical background since 2015, I now know and understand basic to complex mechanisms and pathways inside the human body. This enables me to locate and treat any medical condition efficiently in the time period of 90-180 days.
How did you discover your passion?
As I mentioned above I belong to the field of research not dietetics (but now I am, I call it modern dietetics) but then when I came across hormonal diets, I just wanted the people to know about it.
And in order to make them aware of what hormonal manipulation is, I found my passion in reversing diseases without medication just by hormonal resetting and food.
How do you manage to keep going despite the challenges? What drives you?
You won’t believe it, I go crazy sometimes!
Thanks to my mains (confidential) who motivates me to do more. Also, my goal is very clear. I know what I am supposed to do, I don’t have any distractions. I just want the concept of hormonal plays to reach every house.
And this flow of energy provides an emotional engagement and attachment with my patients, they become my family and I need to treat them, I cannot see my patients suffering from something which they can get off very easily.
This thought motivates me to go on. Whatever the situation I am in, the other person is sent to me by the universe because of some reason and I need to fulfil that.
People put their trust in my work and I give them the best. I cannot dodge any challenge. My patients are my priority and I am clear about that! The bigger the challenger, the bigger the opportunity for growth!”
Who do you believe has been the biggest source of motivation in your daily life?
My clients, send me their daily progress and I feel so good seeing them happy and reversing clinical conditions which are years old.
Other than my clients it’s my own thoughts and imagination. Rest it’s universe and God, he has lined up everything.
Steve Harvey once said – “God bless you to be a blessing and trust you” so this trust in God keeps me motivated.
What are the business mantras you have embraced as you sought to establish your success story?
> My hormonal concepts should be very clear before presenting them to others.
> Do it the way you want it.
> If no one appreciates you it’s ok. Don’t be stagnant, just keep learning.
> Be grateful for what you have. Never think that you are on the top, never compare. Compete with yourself.
> If people don’t like you, be ok with it. You have a goal, focus on that. Things will follow.
What are some of the strategies that you believe have helped you grow as a person?
There are a few:
(1) Never discuss your plans with anyone
(2) Don’t work to become the best, work to become unique
(3) Stay Humble and kind
(4) Be patient and trust the process
(5) Take risks, don’t be stagnant.
Please share with us, how do you motivate your clients?
I talk to them regularly, even if it’s just for 1 minute. Of course, I cannot talk to them for long but yes, I assure you that I communicate and understand what they are going through, understanding their needs, likes-dislikes etc.
Also, I ask them to give 180 days from their lives to me and then they may do whatever they want to after that, and during these hormonal manipulation days, I teach them the lifestyle swaps and changes they need to follow.
It’s important to be a very good listener and understand the client. Also, making eating easy and not boring is the key. Setting realistic goals and appreciating the client are very important. After all, they have changed their whole routine for my therapy (though it’s for their good but still, it requires a lot of hard work and determination).
You are always positive and motivated, what keeps you going?
I ENJOY WHAT I DO. I love my work; I know by the end of the day that I have made so and so people healthy and happy today and it gives me peace. It’s important to speak good, think good, do good, stay calm and practice gratitude.
Also, I am a good listener, believer and speaker.
I know that I am doing good and I am an all-time optimistic person and I don’t believe in dodging problems. Rest we don’t move or do anything in our comfort zone, we have to move so challenges always motivate me.”
In your opinion, what are the keys to success?
There is no shortcut. Study hard, learn to listen, be kind, listen to your mentors, practise gratitude, be very clear with your goal, if you want something- get it, don’t compromise, don’t let others convince you and build the life you want.
But now this doesn’t mean you just wait for things to happen; God helps those who help themselves. Push yourself to the extreme like in my field- I have a patient with Prader Willi Syndrome (important to lose weight) if you read about this syndrome, let me tell you it’s some serious glitch. I could have not taken the case, but why not?? God trusted me on that, I cannot let him down at least!
Ta-da! And very soon a success story is on the way. Maybe this is an episode of success for me but for the patient it will be a great achievement, growing up with Prader Willi is not easy BUT competing with the symptoms is not hard- this is what hormone resetting diet for that subject has proved. And I am happy and grateful at the same time.
What about your journey makes it satisfying/exciting?
Getting great feedback from my patients and knowing that the results are permanent gives me extreme relief.
What advice would you give students and young professionals who want to have a successful career?
Study hard and smart, it will help! Study good books. Study about everything, not just the main subject, and explore more because this is science. Every day something new comes up, new discoveries, new cells, new drugs, new clinical trials. Study them all.
Secondly, be very polite and kind. Words once spoken cannot be taken back
