Interview with Jitesh Chauhan | Founder And CEO At Invincible Digital Pvt Ltd

Jitesh Chauhan

In our latest Interview, we spoke to Jitesh Chauhan – Founder of Invincible Digital Pvt Ltd. His venture is about to clock revenues of 1 cr this year.

We all know that entrepreneurship is not easy; it takes a lot of rejections & failures and no one else can explain this better than the way Jitesh did. He used the following quote to sum up his take on failure:

Failure will never overtake me if my determination to succeed is strong enough.” –  Og Mandino

Well, Spot on! Isn’t It?

Here are some of the excerpts from our exclusive interview with him and his team, We also managed to do a small video in his beautiful office.

1. What gets you out of bed in the morning i.e what’s your source of motivation? It’s the everyday excitement of my schedule. I sleep with lot of thoughts/plans in mind and wake up next day to try and execute them. Those plans may or may not work and that’s what keeps me on my toes every single day. Life is best when it’s unpredictable and the only motivation you have is to strive every day to get better and be successful in what you do. Another source of motivation is the acceptance of failures but still stand tall to accept it and try again. If you are willing to accept you failed then you will have strength of getting back up and try again.

2. Why should people choose your product/services?

This is an era of Digital Marketing and probably the highest potential marketing channel. Having said that, there are lots of companies that claim to do better at very little cost but I feel they are actually degrading the market for their own benefits. Companies that deliver results never promise the cheapest service but the quality results at competitive pricing. We established “Invincible Digital Pvt. Ltd.” to ensure that clients can connect with our customer service team better and observe results closely. We also believe that a part of our job is to educate our clients about Digital Marketing in a way that they understand the reports and can question us if they see something wrong.

We don’t promise magic to our clients and keep them in the real world with their expectations but also ensure that the quality and results are delivered on ground. Our strength is the team we have, they all come from a strong background with great knowledge (Theoretical & Practical both) of Digital Marketing and they make me proud all the time.

3. What’s your competitive advantage and why can’t it be copied?

I think being in India gives us a thick advantage over the companies based overseas. Our focus clientele is overseas only and we do very little business in India. As Indians we have reputation of being expert in IT area at much cost effective prices. I am not saying the local companies there are expensive but the currency conversion allows us keep the prices to very competitive and still deliver equivalent or better results to our clients.

As far as Indian companies are concerned that deliver services overseas same like us, I don’t like to do a comparison unless I know their work ethics or I can measure their success. I am sure there are lots of Entrepreneurs like me who are working hard and only focus on building their companies reputation more than making money and I respect them all.

4. What risks are you facing?

Risk of not having enough qualified resources. I am getting concerned day by day with the quality of resources we have with this new generation. They lack focus and aren’t really determined to their future. People are more interested in making money short term and that really scares me. There is no greater risk than having no good resources when your only focus is to deliver results to your clientele.

5. Have you considered any alliance/partnership?

I have in fact run this business in partnership for about 4 years and we were doing well until one day we decided to split our businesses mutually. For me the biggest challenge in that partnership was to have sync in the thought process and decision making. You run a partnership with understanding and mutual decisions but when domination takes place in a partnership then it is impossible to cope up with it.

I am and will consider alliances but I will be very cautious this time to pick the right alliance. But I can’t deny the fact that I learned a lot in that partnership and it was good experience.

6. What are your cash flow projections? When will you break even? How much will you need in investments?

Since we have been in business for a few years now and my new venture “Invincible Digital Pvt. Ltd.” has been in existence for almost a year and we already are making profits. We aren’t seeking investments at the moment but we plan on setting up offices overseas for smooth work flow and might consider investments for that purpose.

It took us some time initially to get to the break even as usual but not long. We started making profits within 4 months of setting up this new venture after my split with my ex business partner. I consider myself lucky but I and my team have worked hard to get here and we intend to make this bigger in 2019. We are looking at yearly turnover of 1.25 Crores or more in the year 2019.

7. What comes first for you money or emotions?

While money has always been my motivation factor but I am equally motivated by emotions. Emotions work really well with the team and they can make you money if they can connect to your emotions. So in a business Money and emotions go hand in hand.

8. What are your strengths and weaknesses?

Exposure to the International marketing has always been my biggest strength and I have always used that as a tool to enhance my business.

My biggest weakness is that I can’t trust people easily and I try to do all the stuff myself which I shouldn’t. It took me time to even trust my own team and I still get into their jobs to try and ensure they are not messing things up.

9. Tell me about an accomplishment you are most proud of.

I am proud of making my own decision throughout my journey and accomplishing what I am today despite of all my failures. I have taken lot of criticism over the time and never responded but my success has spoken a lot on my behalf now. I am also proud of having a family that supported me throughout.

10. How do you handle the pressure?

I won’t lie but I am not really good at that but I have figured a way out. I have learnt the art of keeping my mind calm in difficult situations. When I can’t figure things out in pressure situation, I prefer going on holidays. This may sound weird but it helps me re-evaluate the situations and take better decisions. It has been working well until now for me.

11. If you sold your company today, what would be the tone of the conversation? What would you want to gain? What would you want to avoid losing?

Not sure about that. Never have given a thought of selling but If I were to sell it then I will do it on my own terms. I honestly wouldn’t want to lose my decision making rights so I would still want to be the major stake holder. Me & my team have worked hard for this and we own every bit of success we have achieved till date.

12. What advice would you give to someone starting out?

Believe, in yourself and in your hard work. Failures are part of our lives but that shouldn’t stop you from trying. I know it’s easy to say but I have personally been through it and sometimes had an urge of quitting to go back to job as I couldn’t even afford to buy food at some stage of my life. But that all counts in today. All of my struggle and problems I faced.

You will fail but what’s important is to stay focused and continue with your efforts towards your dreams. What keeps you hungry & awake today will tomorrow bring in a life that you always dreamt of. Work for it, Earn it.

13. How the idea of Invincible Digital came about.

Accidentally. I know it sounds strange & funny but I never had anything to with Digital Marketing industry. I started a Digital marketing company after I failed completely in setting up a call center (I am not shy of mentioning my failures because they made me who I am today).

Initially it was hard for me to catch up as I have always been a typical Marketing guy. Then I eventually started to find this interesting so I got myself in and it worked out well enough.

Invincible Digital came out as surprise as one day we thought of rebranding ourselves to a Private Limited firm after few successful years. Life is unexpected and so is the business and that’s what I love about both.

14. Why Entrepreneurship?

A dream that I saw in an era (P.S. I am not an old man) when I didn’t even know that word (Entrepreneurship) exists. I knew I had it to be an employer instead of an employee. I enjoy the risks & challenges that are involved in being an Entrepreneur.
