Mishti Verma

At Brilliant Read Media, it is our constant endeavour to identify and share some of the unique and compelling stories from the startup ecosystem. As part of this, we invited Mishti Verma for an interview with Brilliant Read Media. To say further, Mishti is a Certified Global Coach and Founder & Director at Inner Katha Interventions. Let’s learn more about her background, her inspiring journey so far and her advice for our growing community!

Excerpts from our exclusive interview with Mishti:

Could you please talk us through your background and your journey?

I’ve worked in diversity, equity, and inclusion; behavioral training; leadership development; and learning and development for twenty plus years. I work as a facilitator and coach for leaders.

Over the course of my career, I have trained over 15,000 participants in learning and development and collaborated with more than 50 top organizations. I have a lot of experience working on diversity, equity, and inclusion as well as gender sensitization.

Among other companies, I have facilitated DEI sessions for Telenor, Barclays, Sony Pictures Network, Limited, Nomura, and VFS Global. Along with Tom Alter and NHRD, Tie Sree Shakti, I have also launched the first-ever conference on gender sensitization.

Through partnerships with companies like Nomura, Asian Paints, Indian Oil, Colgate, Marico, Aditya Birla Group, and Bajaj Auto, I have guided the leadership development of more than 5,000 Indian & 2,000 global women leaders in various forums and organizations. I also co-founded C.L.A.P., one of India’s leading black box cultural centers, which the Hindustan Times named one of the country’s top ten cultural institutions.

How did you discover your passion?

I first performed on stage when I was 2.5 years old. My passion for stage, love for people and addressing the audience, helped me combine my love towards people and stage into learning & development, facilitation and experiential learning.

Who do you believe has been the biggest source of motivation in your daily life?

The biggest source of inspiration for me comes from within, my drive to be a catalyst for embracing self-identity versus social identity and tapping into one’s greatest talents and potential.

Mishti Verma

What are some of the strategies that you believe have helped you grow as a person?

Strengths-based leadership. As a Gallup-certified Global Coach, I have always believed in leading with strengths.

In your opinion, what are the keys to success?

The key to success is to keep walking, emotional resilience, and being a warrior of light, seeking divine wisdom and overcoming challenges with constant self-development, gratitude, and divine grace.

What advice would you give to our readers?

Show up with strengths, embrace your true identity beyond the need to fit into social moulds or expectations.
