Excerpts from our exclusive interview with Mmanisha:
Could you please talk us through your background and your journey?
My journey started as a Handwriting Teacher, where I simply wanted to help kids improve their writing skills. What began as a small step gradually turned into my passion.
Along the way, I discovered that handwriting is not just about neat letters – it’s about confidence, patience, and focus. Teaching kids was something I enjoyed, but life had different plans for me.
As I walked through my own struggles, especially as a single mom, I realized that there are so many women out there who forget themselves while taking care of everyone else. That’s when the idea of Self-Love Studio was born – a space where women can invest just 5 minutes daily to feel better and more connected to themselves.
How did you discover your passion?
Honestly, I didn’t find my passion — my passion found me. It started with handwriting, but I always had this deep desire to make a difference in someone’s life.
I have seen women around me juggling so many responsibilities, yet silently losing themselves in the process. I felt that pain personally, and I knew if I could help even one woman feel a little better about herself, my journey would have a purpose.
Who do you believe has been the biggest source of motivation in your daily life?
Without any doubt, my son has been my biggest motivation.
He is the reason I push myself every single day. Whenever I feel low, I look at him and remind myself that I need to become a better version of myself — not just for him, but also to show him that life doesn’t stop after struggles.
Also, the women who reach out to me — their trust, their small victories — they fuel my journey every day.
What are some of the strategies that you believe have helped you grow as a person?
One thing that has helped me grow is self-discipline — even on days when I didn’t feel like showing up, I reminded myself why I started.
Another strategy is practising self-love in small ways — whether it’s journaling, listening to music, or simply sitting in silence for 5 minutes. These small habits helped me reconnect with myself.
Most importantly, I learned to ask for help and surround myself with people who uplift me rather than drain me.
In your opinion, what are the keys to success?
Success is not always about money or fame. For me, success is about how many lives you touch and how much you grow as a person.
The three keys to success in my opinion are:
a) Consistency: Even on bad days, show up.
b) Patience: Good things take time.
c) Self-Belief: If you don’t believe in yourself, no one else will.
What advice would you give to our readers?
The best advice I can give is — never forget yourself in the process of taking care of others.
You deserve the same love and care that you give to your family. Take out at least 5 minutes for yourself every day. It will not only make you stronger but will also inspire your kids to value self-care from a young age. And remember — It’s never too late to rewrite your own story.
