As part of this, we invited yet another passionate entrepreneur Mohammad Ali for an interview with BrilliantRead Media. He is a Trainer, Coach, Mentor and Change enabler. Let’s learn more about his background, his inspiring journey so far and his advice for our growing community!
Excerpts from our exclusive interview with Mohammad Ali:
Could you please talk us through your background and your journey?
I was born and raised in New Delhi, and I attended Delhi University where I completed my Graduation. Post my graduation, I worked as a language facilitator and got promoted as Deputy Branch Manager. After having this position, I was chosen to start a major Pilot Project for the education of Rural India.
With some dedication, creativity and hardwork, I made this project successful, I became an Associate Territory Manager, and now I am working directly with the Management Team and helping approx 4,800 students and 60 facilitators.”
I always wanted to be a Trainer, I enjoyed training and coaching others to help them transform their lives. So I decide to choose Learning and Development industry. I developed huge passion for Training. The journey has been great so far. I get learn everyday.
All of this helped me to grow personally as well as professionally.
How did you discover your passion?
I discovered my passion through introspection and the work I really love to do by visiting the training centres, interacting with students of different backgrounds and cultures, knowing their personalities, listening to them, and coaching based on their life skills.
Therefore, as a soft skill trainer, mentor, and life coach I am able to celebrate 5 years of this journey. I never realised how time passed in this journey because of each and every moment I enjoyed.
How do you manage to keep going despite the challenges? What drives you?
Unequivocally, everyone faces challenges, and I too faced throughout this journey. How I manage my challenges is to be optimistic towards the challenges in order to learn from those challenges to make myself ready for the upcoming obstacles.
And what drives me to keep moving is to those students’ happiness and growth who did wonders because of my little efforts.
Who do you believe has been the biggest source of motivation in your daily life?
There are people who are the biggest motivation in my daily life.
I would love to mention their names:
1. My father, he is the one who is so courageous; he is a resilient man who always inspires me to be resilient and perseverant.
2. Deepak Yadav, he is the one who is my mentor and taught me the art of making interactions interesting.
3. Hari Om Panday, he is the one who believed in me, and always appreciated me for my discipline and sincerity.
My day-to-day life is a reflection of them to make my every day fruitful.
What are some of the strategies that you believe have helped you grow as a person?
There are several strategies that have helped me to grow as a person which are mentioned below.
1. Being an independent learner
2. Being Mindful
3. No compromise with the task responsibilities
4. Having competition with my own self in order to evaluate my effectiveness
5. Accepting feedback
In your opinion what are the keys to success?
I will say it straight that there are many factors but if you really have to have the key elements then to me these are the ones:
1. Building Rapport
2. Being All Ears
3. Being Honest
4. Sharing and learning ideas
5. Avoiding any single cheat day
6. Having a Positive and Learning Attitude
7. Being Empathetic
What advice would you give to our readers?
If you are reading this, I have some advice for you.
1. Please spend some silent time with you
2. Contemplate about your goal, and keep contributing and adding values to it
3. Once in a week write about your goal
4. Plant a tree on your every birthday
5. Understand emotional intelligence in order to resolve any conflict
6. Listen and spend time with the people who discuss ideas
Last but not least, what about your journey makes it satisfying/exciting?
There are numerous things which satisfy and excite me, and some of them I would love to share with you. I feel really satisfied when my trainees show their gratitude towards me, and share valuable feedback.
Also, the journey which is full of learning which is made to help others, add values in their lives, and bring a blissful smile on their faces.
