Excerpts from our exclusive interview with Prasanna:
Talk us through your background and your journey, please;
I am from a middle-class family, my father was a government servant, my mom was a housewife, I have two sisters, had a very good childhood experience, was very naughty in my childhood, Fearless but was very scared of my father.
I loved to go to the gym when I was a kid but I was not allowed inside, when I grew up Completed my education as well and I began to exercise.”
I competed in bodybuilding competitions but I wasn’t aware that it was my passion, but after many years I realised that yes exercise and fitness is my passion and I should pursue it.
So I decided to continue this beautiful journey and help others also. It has been challenging yet fulfilling so far because I get to do what I love.
I now feel proud of myself when I see my clients’ transformations and their success.
How did you discover your passion?
I never wanted to work under anybody in my life and I always wanted to do something on my own but money was the issue which stopped me.
I tried some businesses somehow but it didn’t work, later I realized that since I have enough experience in exercise and diet, I can start my own coaching business and help others too and it is working very well now.
Despite the challenges, what keeps you going when things get tough?
I faced many obstacles in my life, but I was very much confident about myself and I used to believe in myself and my strength that nothing can stop me from reaching those heights which I always dreamed about.
What is the one strategy that you believe has helped you grow as a person?
Self-belief and self-confidence.
What approaches do you follow in your weight loss program?
Mindset, consistency, self-belief, self-motivation, having long-term goals.
What are some of the best practices you advise your clients and how does it help them?
First of all, you need to know why losing fat is important for you, there may be many other reasons other than having good health benefits, and you should have that kind of mindset to achieve that and you need to be consistent throughout, no matter what it takes.
You have to motivate yourself as you need that kind of body and no one else. Also, don’t expect miracles to happen overnight.
It is common for you to give up soon as many people do, so have long term goals and work on it, it will bear fruitful results for sure.
What are the three most important lessons you have learned in your life?
There are many lessons I have learnt in my life which are important only, but if you ask me to mention three out of it then
1) Trust yourself not others
2) Always do what you love to do
3) Be kind to humans and animals, love them.
In your opinion what are the keys to success?
Having a proper dream/goal, having a desire to achieve it, and working on your goal consistently and once you achieve your dream goal, maintain it for a long time.
What advice would you give students and young professionals who want to have a successful career?
Find out what are you passionate about and work on it.
You may not get successful for the first time, but don’t give up, failure is key to successes.
Every time you fail, you will learn something new. Anyone who achieved massive success once failed in their journey.
Last but not least, what about your journey makes it satisfying/exciting?
Life is a mixture of both happiness and sorrow, successes and failures, without this life is incomplete
And achieving my dream goals after so many failures makes me so excited that I tell myself that hey I am ready for the next challenge.
