At Brilliant Read Media, it is our constant endeavour to identify and share some of the unique and compelling stories from the startup ecosystem. As part of this, we invited Rachna Jayant for an interview with Brilliant Read Media. To say further, Rachna is an Entrepreneur and Co-Founder & Director at Ingenium Edutech Pvt. Ltd. Let’s learn more about her background, her inspiring journey so far and her advice for our growing community!

Excerpts from our exclusive interview with Rachna:

Could you please talk us through your background and your journey?

I am an ardent educationist with an MBA in Human Resources and currently pursuing an MA in Child Psychology. My professional journey began in the corporate sector, where I worked in HR for eight years. However, my passion for child development and psychology eventually drew me towards the field of education.

From establishing schools to recruiting educators and fostering an environment that cultivates a love for learning, I realized that this was my true calling. I have continuously enhanced my knowledge through certifications, diplomas, and a postgraduate degree in education and child psychology. This relentless pursuit stems from my deep desire to make a lifelong impact on children’s lives.

I also identified a significant gap in the availability of skilled and passionate educators. This realization led me to initiate training programs that emphasize foundational teaching methodologies and the critical role teachers play in shaping future generations.

Additionally, to ensure that learning remains experiential and child-centric, I developed a robust pre-primary curriculum. This curriculum is now implemented across 17 branches, impacting the lives of nearly 4,000 children in the last two years. This journey has been immensely fulfilling, as it allows me to contribute meaningfully to the education landscape while nurturing young minds.

‘Ingenium Edutech Pvt. Ltd’ is such a unique name; talk us through more about it, please. Our audience would also love to know what kind of problem you are solving?

Well, while our whole team was working and thinking through the unique and apt names for school, our aim was to have a name that resonates with prodigy, wisdom, knowledge and that sounds more professional instead of too kiddish.

The word Ingenium originates from Latin, meaning “innate talent” or “natural ability.” In the education context, it perfectly encapsulates our vision of identifying and nurturing the unique potential within every child.

At Ingenium, we believe that each child is born with a distinctive set of talents and abilities, and it is our responsibility to create an environment that helps them discover and develop these to the fullest.

Our approach blends innovative teaching methods with values-driven education, aiming to inspire creativity, curiosity, and a lifelong love for learning.

For us, Ingenium is more than a name—it is a guiding principle that underscores our commitment to unlocking the genius in every child, empowering them to shine in their own unique way.

Despite the challenges, what keeps you going when things get tough?

The field of education comes with its share of challenges—ensuring children’s safety, meeting the high expectations of parents, managing unforeseen incidents, and adhering to strict timelines. Each day brings new responsibilities and complexities, but what keeps me going is the unwavering belief in our purpose and the profound impact we can make on young lives.

The toughest phase we faced was during the COVID-19 pandemic. It tested our resilience to the core. However, it also became a powerful learning experience, teaching us the value of adaptability, innovation, and the need to embrace technology. By staying true to our commitment to quality education and continuously upgrading our methods, we not only sustained but also emerged stronger.

What truly drives us is the vision of creating an ecosystem where children feel safe, nurtured, and inspired to learn, and where educators feel empowered to make a difference. Challenges remind us why we started, and they fuel our determination to push boundaries and make education accessible, impactful, and enduring.

What are the three most important lessons you have learned in your life?

Believe in Yourself: Self-belief is the foundation of resilience and success.

Be Open to Change: Embracing change brings growth and new opportunities.

Adapt and Innovate: These are essential to sustaining and thriving in an ever-evolving world.

In your opinion what are the keys to success?

> Surround Yourself with Visionaries: Engaging with talented and driven individuals fosters collaboration, learning, and shared growth.

> Set Ambitious Goals with a Clear Plan: Success begins with a bold vision, but it’s the actionable roadmap and consistent effort that turn aspirations into reality.

> Cultivate Humility and Emotional Intelligence: Staying grounded helps you navigate challenges with grace and build authentic connections that support long-term success.

> Maintain Discipline and Inner Drive: Self-discipline and intrinsic motivation are the cornerstones of perseverance and consistency in the face of challenges.

> Innovate and Create Value: By addressing real-world challenges and contributing solutions, you create lasting impact and establish your significance in the larger context.

These principles not only define success but also make the journey fulfilling and purposeful.

What advice would you give students and young professionals who want to have a successful career?

My advice to students and young professionals is to cultivate a deep passion for what you do and pursue it with unwavering commitment. Focus on continuously enhancing your value by upgrading your skills and making the most of the opportunities that come your way.

Aim to be a creator and innovator rather than just a follower. Anticipate future challenges that the world may face and position yourself as part of the solution. Equipping yourself with skills that will be in demand 20 years from now will not only future-proof your career but also make you a pioneer in your field.

Success comes to those who think ahead, remain adaptable, and work diligently toward making a meaningful impact.

Last but not least, what about your journey makes it satisfying/exciting?

The most fulfilling aspect of my journey is knowing that we are making a meaningful impact on countless lives—shaping young minds, nurturing their potential, and empowering them to achieve their dreams. Witnessing the growth and transformation of children, educators, and communities through our efforts is both humbling and inspiring.

What excites me most is the future that lies ahead, especially with this incredibly talented and innovative generation ready to take the lead and shape a better tomorrow.

As I reflect on this journey, one truth stands out: the greatest reward in life comes from contributing to something larger than yourself, leaving behind a legacy of growth, learning, and empowerment.
