At BrilliantRead Media, we always strive to bring some of the meaningful and powerful stories from around the world to empower and motivate our growing community. This week, we invited Ravinder Goyal for an exclusive interview to know more about his inspiring journey and the way forward. He is a Passionate Entrepreneur, Trainer, Business Consultant  Mentor, and Leadership Coach. His new startup Erekrut (Recruitment Made Easy) is a complete online solution for shortlisting candidates without moving out of office in a cost effective way. Let’s learn more about his interesting journey and his advice for our growing community!

Excerpts from our exclusive interview with him:

Talk us through your background and your journey as an entrepreneur, please;

I have just started PanaceaeBiz Consulting Group. I have been into vocational skilling for almost 27+ years. I feel that my contribution to the skilling ecosystem is very inspiring, at least for the approx. 2 lacs students who have been trained & placed over these years.

I had a channel network of 600+ partner & associate centres across India. We were one of the most prominent brands in our key area of training.

During this, I evolved Training methodology, which was well appreciated and brought the most coveted National Golden Peacock Innovative Product/Services Award in 2002.

Owing to my contribution in the education & training industry, I was awarded Gem of India Award in 2002 and also won the “Roll of Honour in the Skills Champion: Emerging Warrior” adjudged by FICCI Skills Champion of India Award-2012. I also received “Certificate of Approval” in 2009 by Constantinus Club and Austrian Professional Association of Management Consultancy & IT, Vienna in “Constantinus International” category for my online education management project. This was termed as the First Non- European Entry.”

I have authored more than 1000 quotes on personal development, success, growth, leadership etc.

One thing I did not do ever is never prepared my Resume. After education, I was sure that I was going on my own. I started my journey back in 1989 and found the ground in 1997 when I founded the Education Training Brand. During this, I worked on 4-5 ideas but didn’t meet my expectations. Hence the journey continued and found peace with Skilling and remained in this for almost 22+ years.

As my next-gen is ready to embark on their journey, I felt to share and nurture new entrepreneurs and help the aspiring people in their growth. Panacea eBiz Consulting Group was founded in 2019. Nothing great as yet but we are launching one of our portals on Automating Recruitments under the brand EREKRUT.”

The portal is erekrut.panaceaebizz.com. Until now, job portals were primarily used for sourcing digest of resumes but without any authenticity. On Erekrut, recruiters will not only do the candidate sourcing but will also have the facility of online assessment so that at the end, they are getting the filtered resources matching to their criteria up to one level followed by personal rounds.

We are aware of all the good work you are doing in your space; what keeps you going?

Never-ending desire to look out for newer opportunities is what motivates me the most. Stagnation is one of the biggest demotivating factors for me.

Why did you choose entrepreneurship over a corporate career?

It was something like what was written in destiny. Something inside me was always pushing towards going on my own.

I was an electronics hobbyist during school times. I almost replaced everything at home with my projects. The meetings, exploration and reading almost changed me. A bit goes to my zodiac sign i.e. Taurus, fearless.”

Please share with us some of the challenges you faced in your journey;

This cannot be summarized as every step, when you are building a nationwide brand, is a challenge. Meeting your own expectations is one of the biggest challenges with limited resources.

Skilling sector has seen three downfalls. First in 2000 during Y2K then in 2004 and then 2008-10. Sail with the wind but stay focused kept us moving.

What is your Business Mantra: Money or Emotions?

Money may not last forever so do with the emotions. The very next day one may have different emotions. My mantra is what ignites the fire inside you. Go for that. Do what makes you feel proud, what makes you feel worthy and leave a sparkle in your eyes.

How do you handle the pressure and manage stress?

When you are an entrepreneur, nobody is managing you. You are the BOSS. Generally, pressure and managing stress is considered with respect to the environment.

Entrepreneurship is about managing time & resources and achieving the unseen.”

What has worked well for you so far?

Continuity, Never Give Up and Go-getter attitude.

In your opinion what are the keys to success?

One must understand, business is more about moving further. It’s like cycling. If you stop paddling, you will fall. Then with the times, the change should remain your only constant. Don’t fall in love with your achievements. Once achieved is not always achieved. I have hundreds of quotes written on this. My blog is ravindergoyal.com.

We would love to know your advice for all those starting out as an aspiring entrepreneur?

It is about the person, not the business. When everyone is failing, we have examples of some people who are growing in that field. Have willingness and affirmation. Be prepared to compromise your comfort. Be prepared to risk losing what you have. Be prepared to live below par what you could afford now. Don’t jump directly but do your homework. Be prepared to quit and lookout for something else if it is not working.
