As part of our relentless pursuit to identify and share with our community some of the unique and compelling startup stories from the ecosystem, this weekend we spoke to another passionate Designer & Entrepreneur Sangeeta Vasishta to understand more about her journey, her vision and the way forward. She is the Founder and Director at Springs Home Decor Private Limited and Amoliconcepts.com. Let’s learn more about her incredible journey so far!
Excerpts from our exclusive interview with Sangeeta:
We are aware of your contribution to the ecosystem; talk us through your background and your journey, please;
After completing my MBA from Rajasthan University, like many others from my small town of Ajmer, I too proceeded to Delhi with hopes of a “good” employment opportunity.
While working for a firm, I had to take a break from work owing to health reasons. I realized that work/job would have its limitations by way of fixed income, the necessity to follow office rules and adhering to timings etc.
While it may be a good thing for many others, I realized that I preferred to be my own master and hence decided to explore the entrepreneurial route.”
I realized that entrepreneurship would also help me provide many others earn a source of livelihood. My husband wholeheartedly and completely supported me in this.
After extensive efforts and a lot of hard work, I started my own setup in 2002. Amoliconcepts being my very new venture which caters to domestic e-commerce brands.”
What made you passionate about ‘interior designing’?
Home being the identity of the owner’s personality needs to be designed in such a way that it is comfortable, looks beautiful and the décor is pleasing.
Hence it has to be tastefully designed, has to have products which are utility oriented and meets all safety and environmental standards. “Springs Home” with their team makes this all possible.

Thank you !! This can be looked at by 02 perspectives – 01st – as colourful, bright and having a positive vibrant look and the 2nd one – something moving rapidly forward.
We wish our customers to be happy with our range befitting their need and providing that with quick timely response/service.
Springs Home specializes in sourcing all kinds of home décor products like – Bedding, Rugs/Carpets, Furniture, decorative items, Bar accessories, Gifting, Tabling Etc. and sourcing from all over India, where we can get value for money products.”
How do you manage to keep going despite the challenges? What drives you?
The initial days were hard. I started from home and worked on a computer borrowed from a friend.
The days were tough and there were moments when I nearly decided to drop everything since I did not have any progress. Many of the leads did not pan out, which, at times, caused me to doubt my decisions. However, I had my objectives clearly set in my mind and decided that if I let temporary setbacks affect me, I would not be able to achieve the same and hence pushed through.”
As a result of my perseverance, I managed to start my company which today has become one of the most prominent names in the sector in the country.
Who do you believe has been the biggest source of motivation in your daily life?
My loved one’s keep me motivated.
What are some of the strategies that you believe have helped you grow as a person?
Never restrict your dreams. Only if you dream big can you do something big. Once you are clear of your objective, go all out with your efforts to achieve the same.
You may encounter setbacks and difficulties on the way, but if you sincerely put in your best efforts, you would certainly achieve your goals, even though a bit delayed. So never stop trying.”
You are always positive and motivated, what keeps you going?
I have a passion for home and interior products and if you like what you do then you don’t need any motivation. Your Passion is your driving force.
In your opinion, what are the keys to success?
Unlike some company owners/leaders, I value the inputs/opinion of team members while taking many company decisions. Springs Home provides every team member to voice their opinions. We take collective decisions regarding styles, trends and technologies and share our views with the buyer.
When things are at an impasse, being self-motivated helps me to guide my team to adopt the right approach for problem solution. I also delegate my tasks suitably, considering the aptitude and workload handling capacity of my team members, which has enabled Springs Home to function as a well-oiled machinery.
What advice would you give students and young professionals who want to have a successful career?
> Don’t waste your time in living someone else’s life, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition.
> Don’t let the noise of other’s opinions drown out your own inner voice.
> Don’t be trapped by dogma – which is living with the results of other people’s thinking.
