Let’s learn more about her inspiring journey, background and advice for our growing community!

Excerpts from our exclusive interview with Shanoo:

What made you passionate about ‘Coaching’?

I realized my hidden potential when my senior at work coached me. It gave me space and freedom to implement my way of making things happen.

Some of my ways were appreciated for the simple reason that they provided better results than expected and needless to say that it motivated me to work through challenges.

Hence after working for more than 15 years in different streams, I decided to take Life Coaching as my new path. Making others successful in their arena, through their own re-discovered and re-designed ways guided me towards my passion of Coaching.

How do you manage to keep going despite the challenges? What drives you?

I see challenges as opportunities in disguise. What I have experienced in my journey till date is that most of the solutions are hidden in challenges itself. If we calm down we are able to look through.

I practice meditation and mindfulness to keep myself going. Life is all about challenges and experiences, so why not welcome them gracefully!

Who do you believe has been the biggest source of motivation in your daily life?

Positive & desired results and a big smile of victory on the faces of my coaches motivate me.

What are some of the strategies that you believe have helped you grow as a person?

Well, I do follow certain practices, I wouldn’t call them strategies:

1) Read books and humans. We can learn a lot.

2) Keep learning something new. Always plan and be ready for the next lesson.

3) Take risks and dare to fail as it is the first step to success.

4) Meditate daily and keep faith in the supreme power of the Universe

You are always positive and motivated, what keeps you going?

I am a human being after all. I wouldn’t say that I am always positive. Yes, negativity does invade at times. My approach is to focus to reveal the message a negative situation carries for me.

It can be for my growth as a person, some aspect where I need to work on. I believe that any situation that signals negativity, comes with a purpose.

In your opinion, what are the keys to success?

– Self-awareness of strengths & weaknesses. Something, if I do not know, is required, I must learn and not pretend.

– Don’t be scared of mistakes & failures.

– Read & learn, Read & learn…and repeat

What advice would you give students and young professionals who want to have a successful career?

Identify your purpose of having a career in a particular stream- what is the outcome that would inspire you to come out of your comfort zone and then add a dash of passion to it, you have a perfect recipe of SUCCESS.
