Excerpts from our exclusive interview with Tina:

Could you please talk us through your background and your journey?

My journey has been a blend of creativity, entrepreneurship, and personal growth. With 25 years in the fashion industry and 8 years as an internationally certified Image Specialist, Corporate Trainer, and Life Coach, I’ve had the privilege of transforming not just wardrobes but lives.

My career started at 20 when I stepped into modelling, which led me to launch a boutique specializing in women’s western wear after marriage. That venture gained recognition, featuring in magazines like Femina and Cosmopolitan.

At 40, as my children grew independent, I followed my passion for Image Management and Soft Skills Training, earning certifications from ICBI.

Since then, I’ve worked with corporate giants like HCL Healthcare and IndiGo Airways and have been on a mission to help individuals build confidence and executive presence.

How did you discover your passion?

I’ve always been drawn to the power of appearance, behaviour, and communication in shaping one’s personal and professional success. My passion for image consulting and coaching grew organically—from styling clients at my boutique to helping them feel their best.

When I learned that Image Management is not just about fashion but about confidence and impact, I knew this was my calling. Every transformation I witness reinforces my belief in the work I do.

Despite the challenges, what keeps you going when things get tough?

Two things—my unwavering belief that personal transformation is possible at any stage in life and the impact I see in the people I work with. Knowing that my guidance can change how someone perceives themselves, performs at work, or presents in social settings is incredibly fulfilling. Challenges are inevitable, but passion, perseverance, and a purpose-driven mindset help me push forward.

What are the three most important lessons you have learned in your life?

1. Reinvention is key – Growth comes from adapting and evolving. You’re never too old to start something new.

2. Confidence is built, not gifted – How you look, speak, and behave can shape your success. Invest in yourself.

3. Success without balance is incomplete – Prioritize self-care, family, and your well-being alongside your ambitions.

In your opinion, what are the keys to success?

Success isn’t just about talent; it’s a mix of consistency, adaptability, and self-belief. Being skilled is important, but the ability to evolve, stay disciplined, and trust your journey is what sets apart the truly successful.

Also, the way you present yourself—both personally and professionally—plays a huge role in how opportunities come your way.

What advice would you give students and young professionals who want to have a successful career?

Invest in yourself beyond academics—build strong communication skills, understand personal branding, and develop executive presence early on. The way you carry yourself, the confidence you exude, and the mindset you nurture will open doors for you.

Be willing to learn, stay adaptable, and always dress not just for the job you have but for the job you want.

Last but not least, what about your journey makes it satisfying/exciting?

The most exciting part of my journey is seeing people transform—not just in their appearance but in their mindset and confidence.

Whether it’s a professional landing their dream job, a woman stepping into her power, or a leader refining their presence, every success story fuels my passion.

Knowing that my work helps people become the best version of themselves is what makes this journey so fulfilling.
