Excerpts from our exclusive interview with Trupti:
Could you please talk us through your background and your journey?
I’m an Engineer (B.E. Electronics) from the prestigious VJTI and an MBA in Marketing from the Symbiosis Centre for Management and Human Resources Development; turned into an Image and Lifeskills Educator, starting my own venture Identity – The Image Management Studio, the journey was one of finding a purpose, a sense of fulfilment and one that leaves an impact on the world.
As an Image Consultant and Soft Skills trainer, I have conducted workshops and training programs for varied groups, having participants ranging from the retail industry, finance industry, IT industry, real estate industry, HR professionals, language professionals, education consultants, students and also homemakers with different backgrounds to name a few.
I help individual (one-on-one) clients to develop a strong and authentic “Identity” with a winning edge. My expertise areas lie in the various elements of Image – comprising different aspects of Appearance, Behaviour and Communication (Vocal and Verbal) and a host of other soft skills.
As a Life Skills Coach for teenagers, preteens and young adults, I have been working with varied groups and individuals, equipping them with Social and Emotional Skills, and making them personally more effective.
Other ventures that I have co-founded include:
a) “Growing Up Social Playshop”; focusing on Lifeskills for teenagers and preteens. Through this, we conduct various Lifeskills programs like Teen Empowerment and Teen Excellence programs.
b) “I-Rise” is a unique collaborative project, putting together expertise in domains like Image Management, Styling, Self and Inner Work for Personal Development. A few of our signature programs include Self Love for Women, Love Boarding, and a unique Vision Boarding workshop.
How did you discover your passion?
I have a keen interest in Brand Management through my MBA days and my enriching corporate journey through varied industries, from marketing at an Indian Multinational conglomerate to Visual Merchandising for an FMCG major to managing quality of Service delivery for a telecom major; strengthened my belief that – “Regardless of age, regardless of life-position; regardless of the business we happen to be in; we all represent a brand – our Personal Brand. This Personal Brand can be developed for the advancement of our personal and professional lives.”
With this strong reflection, came the motivation and passion to embark on the Image Consulting journey with “Identity”; which now enhances the Personal Brand of the many entities it works with – individuals, corporate and educational institutions.
Throughout my journey, I realized that I loved working with people, interacting with them and also guiding them through various Self Development techniques. Once I started training and consultations for the same, there has been no looking back!
Despite the challenges, what keeps you going when things get tough?
I strongly believe in maintaining a healthy work-life balance. A big dose of positivity, through nurturing self-love, boosts our entire sense of self. These beliefs and practices have helped me to stay motivated, be emotionally intelligent, and be at peace with myself in all situations. Also, I do maintain my hobbies like reading and Kathak.
What are the three most important lessons you have learned in your life?
1) Your “Identity” is special. Keep your individuality intact. Work on yourself to be the Best version of “You”
2) You always have the power of choice. Everything you do or not do, is your own choice. Once you make the choice, embrace all that comes with it.
3) Always be open to learning, it can open up the most unexpected doors to success and personal growth.

Young professionals today are determined and go-getters! I always love to work with them! My advice to them would be to never underestimate the power of your thoughts and ideas!

Last but not least, what about your journey makes it satisfying/exciting?
I am fully aware of the power and impact of my work with people/groups/companies. I feel so grateful to do my bit in the success path of my clients.
When you receive heartfelt testimonials from your clients about how positive and upgraded they feel their life to be, since working with you, it is very fulfilling.
When teams you guide in their particular customized requirements, show enhanced performances in their skillsets, that is so exciting!
Many such everyday achievements in my work journey, positive feedbacks and the successes and accomplishments of the people I work with encourage me to stay motivated and help me recognize the positive impact of my work on many lives. In Gratitude!
