Tell us a little bit about your startup and the problems you guys are solving, please;
SketchBubble specializes in pre-prepared, professionally designed and completely editable PowerPoint, Google Slides and Apple Keynote templates.
We have over 150000 (and growing rapidly) entirely editable slides in our library.”
Our templates not only help entrepreneurs/executives save time and effort but also help them create engaging and compelling presentations in no time.
‘SketchBubble’ is such a unique name; talk us through more about it, please. Our audience would also love to know what kind of problem you are solving?
When the idea of starting a business of professionally designed presentation templates conceptualized, we wanted to connect the domain name with graphics (not just slides and presentations so that in future we can add more types of templates like MS Word, MS Excel, Website templates etc…), hence the journey of SketchBubble started.
We all know how important presentations are for Professionals from all domains. After spending hours on the presentation design, still, the outcome is not that appealing for many professionals (Even we faced the same when we were creating an investor presentation for one of our earlier businesses).”
Our vision is to Save the valuable time and effort of presenters by providing them with professionally designed, innovative, and pre-made presentations.
Using our pre-designed presentation templates, professionals can easily create compelling presentations in minutes. We have one of the largest libraries of presentation templates for all possible categories.
During this COVID-19 crisis, what are the measures you have undertaken to continue your business without disruption?
As we are in the business of designing presentations, during COVID-19; most of the professionals started working from home and started using various video conferencing tools for the meetings.
But the need for presentations was always there, the only difference is the shift of conference room presentations to video conference presentations. Luckily our business was not affected.
How do you manage to keep going despite the challenges? What drives the team?
We really have an excellent team, be it research, design or content. During the lockdown, we are fortunate that everyone worked responsibly even in difficult circumstances.”
Although a bootstrapped startup, and even when the team was at home due to lockdown, they were paid in full salary, without any kind of deductions.
Please share with us about your expansion plans?
Currently, we are working on making all our presentations as animated so that customers will have the choice of opting for Static or Animated presentations. Apart from that, we are also working on MS Word and Excel Templates which should be live in a few months.
What is one strategy that you guys believe has helped you grow as a team/startup?
We always believe in a customer-centric approach. We give priority to the customer requirements. Even if we provide pre-designed templates and do not officially provide customized presentations, whenever a customer requires custom slides, we are always there to help them and provide their required presentations within 48 hours.
As compelling presentation designs are the core of our business, we keep improving our own designs on a regular basis so as to match the market trends.
In your opinion, what is more necessary: An Idea or a good team for a successful startup?
I believe every idea is great if executed well. Off-course it is not possible without a good team.
What advice would you give students and young professionals who want to have a successful career?
If you are passionate about your idea, go for it. It takes time and a lot of effort.
